Nail Swatch: Deborah Lippmann Supermodel Sandwich

i sandwiched Supermodel and 4 different Beadstreet polishes using the pink, purple, blue, and clear glitter from index to pinky.
remember in this post, i said i preferred the colour of Supermodel on its first layer? the first picture is what i meant.

it looks chunky cuz the smart me delete pictures of those with top coat on hahahaha. but i think they look pretty decent with top coat. i also prefer the ring finger (with blue glitter).
what do you think?

Fun Looks: Leopard Print

was done by a friend.

Art: Acrylic Painting

The bf and I have recently acquired a new slash expensive hobby - acrylic painting. Ever since I started working more and the bf going back to study, we only get to meet once a week so we decided to try to do something together instead of always lazing around the house and napping, such a waste of time!!! Plus I've always loved art so when we saw acrylic paint tubes selling at 6 for $10 I grabbed 12 lol. After the first painting I kind of remembered why I stopped painting. I hate the clean up but thankfully with my slave bf around he always does the washing MUAHAHAHAHA
So far we've painted twice and hahahahaha they weren't really disastrous but could definitely and obviously be better. If you follow my Twitter/Instagram, you would have seen this but I'm just posting for memories' sake. Each week we come up with a theme to paint to.
Mine's here:

possible to decipher what i envisioned in my mind?? i get loads of wrong answers like an atomic bomb mushroom cloud, a mushroom on a rock blah blah blah. i think for starters not bad leh HAHAHAHAHA Van Gogh style hor.
Bf's:   thanks for reading!

Polish Swatch: Deborah Lippmann Supermodel

the polish is coming off as bright red but it is actually not. under certain lighting it looks like an overtly red orange shade. sometimes i like it, most of the time i dont. i don't think it complements my skintone at all, and not to mention it kinds of stains my nail despite base coat (rare cuz i'm usually too lazy to put on base coat hah)
it applies evenly, but there's something strange about the colour.
when i applied the first layer, it looks almost like a pinkish red, something i'd totally dig (one of the rare few pink shades i like). on the 2nd layer, it looks as if it's bright fiery red. after 3 layers here, it seems to be a mix of orange and red.
but well dont trust my eyes, i had lasik and they've been bad ever since lol.

Polish Swatch: Layla Hologram Effect 05 Jade Groove

two coats of Layla over OPI Jade is the new Black, two coats over Zoya Bevin, 3 coats of Layla, two coats over Eyeko Jade Green

i ordered this on Harlowandco but was kinda disappointed the cap looked pretty beaten up. I don't wanna complain but for the price of this I expected a higher quality check, if you will. The old looking cap with flaky paint kinda annoys me, and yep I'm OCD like that. Other than that the polishes came nicely wrapped.

I have to say - this polish has caused me distress. It causes bald spots in my manicure and I don't like it. Any way of preventing that from happening?

Polish Swatch: A-England Bridal Veil, Color Club Revvvolution

I was going through my polish stash to see what colours I could paint my nails with. You'll know how bad your addiction is when you can't even remember what polish you have. When I ordered Bridal Veil, I guess it was on impulse. I really wanted St George and Dragon but they were sold out. I always thought Bridal Veil was pretty familiar looking, and easy enough to replicate because I had the Specktraflair pigments to put into black nail polish.
So anyway I gasped when I saw Revvv in my box hahahahahaha
Yah so I decided to swatch the two for comparison.

alternating between CC Rev and AE Bridal Veil, one coat each.
Bridal Veil has subtle holo specks in real life compared to Rev, though it seems almost non existent in the pictures. When not compared, BV is pretty decent, not too in-your-face, and an excellent colour for any rock concert. However, its holo-ness pales in comparison to Rev, which is also black based but looks silver because of the holo pigment.
In any case, they are not dupes, but nothing to be happy about since I could easily franken my own.
Which polish do you prefer?
